Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to attend both an academic conference (ACSW 2013, as a presenter) and an industry user group conference (NZOUG 2013, as part of the organising committee) in fairly close succession, and it was interesting to compare the differences between the two. In this seminar, I'll share my experiences, highlights and insights from both conferences.
