Sydney Brenner, 2002 Nobel Prize Winner for Physiology & Medicine
(Video Chair: Prof. David Green, Anatomy & Structural Biology, Otago
University)
Title: "How Cells Compute"
Prof. Brenner received a Nobel Prize in 2002 for his numerous contributions to medicine, especially in the field of genetics. He is considered one of the founding fathers of modern Molecular Biology, and has made many significant contributions to the field of genetics and bioinformatics.
This seminar will be one degree of freedom removed from Brenner -- a video
of Brenner discussing the notion of how cells compute will be shown, chaired
by Prof. David Green from the department of Anatomy and Structural Biology.
Time will be available for questions and clarification at the end of the
video.
