This talk is about evolutionary computing and provides a general introduction to the EVM model.
Evolvable Virtual Machine (single EVM) is a compact framework for performing Turing-equivalent computation. When multiple EVMs are connected, they can be used for experimentation with evolutionary computation. Asynchronously connected EVMs can be used to model trial-and-error machines. The overall EVM architecture is inspired by different aspects of the theory of biological evolution, and will be discussed and explored during the seminar.
