New Zealand Trade and Enterprise are hosting a delegation of Taiwanese digital content company representatives who will
be attending this year's Graphite conference. Leading the delegation,
and speaking at the event, will be the Director of the Digital Content
Industry Promotion Office (DCIPO), Dr G.J Huang. The DCIPO has been
tasked with developing Taiwan's role within the burgeoning global
digital content marketplace.
Biography
Dr Gwo-Jiunn Huang is the Executive Vice-President of the Institute for Information Industry in Taiwan, and the Director of the Digital Content Industry Promotion Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. He is a National Policy Advisor to the President, and currently also holds the position of Board Director of the National Applied Research Laboratory, as well as Supervisory Director of both the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and the Taiwanese Society of International Law. Dr. Huang graduated from National Cheng-Kung University in Taiwan, and obtained an MSc and DIC from Imperial College, University of London, and a PhD from the University of Wales.

Computer graphics artist and
Professor of Tokyo University/Graduate school of International and Interdisciplinary Studies, Reserch Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RACE). Kawaguchi has exhibited at SIGGRAPH conferences almost yearly since 1982. He has won numerous awards including Eurographics '84 & '92; Grand Prix PARIGRAPH '87; First Prize Imagina '91; Gold Medal,Tokyo Techno Forum
L'OREAL Grand Prize,L'OREAL Art and Science Foundation '97 and has been the subject of many news articles including the New York Times.

Bonnie Mitchell will chair the SIGGRAPH Art Gallery in 2006. She has been involved with SIGGRAPH since 1990 as a contributor and member of it's various committees. Mitchell is currently Associate Professor at Bowling Green State University School of Art.
