I completed a major in Computer Science in 1984, which was overshadowed by my BSc (Hons) - and subsequent MSc - in Mathematics. I've co-authored two published papers in Mathematics, and have designs on having more published. After tutoring Maths for ten years, I've been fortunate to move back to Computer Science. Currently I'm involved in helping administer some of the third year papers - which involves continuous learning, as even minor changes to a course can reveal new perspectives. During the summer, I help prepare reports for the Universities' Careers Advisers. The reports are generated from information obtained from the Universities' Graduate Survey, which you will get to fill out six months (or so) after you graduate!

My main interest is in things that are a little 'unusual' - so I enjoy comedies, science fiction, and comics. I used to be involved with a small group of Fantasy Role Players, where we would explore the edges of reality - but these days I get roped into being a baby sitting/taxi service for my children, which is a different kind of fantasy life! I also enjoy speculating - why did the dinosaurs become extinct? (lack of Oxygen); and philosophising - how can I write 1+1=2, 1+1=10, 1+1=11, 1+1=1, and all be true? Is this sentence a picture?
