 Young Beginners
Ages 5 to 7
Children younger than 8 years are recommended to begin with
either:
Let's Make Music (ages 5 to 7) - a fun introduction to music
making.
Or:
Listen and Learn Violin Method (5 and up) - this teaches the
children to play an instrument by listening and imitating.
Requires parental involvement and has higher fees.
Or:
Recorder (6 and up) - an excellent introduction to the
reading of music.
Or:
Musicianship Theory (7 and up) - a varied programme focusing
on aural skills, keyboard knowledge, composition, and
theory.
Age 8+
A good time to start or progress to a new instrument.
